Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone Art College in 2009, I have been busy setting up my jewellery design and repair business in West High Street, Forfar. From these premises I offer a wide range of services including knotted pearl and bead restringing, ring resizing and chain repairs, as well as creating my own range of unique and contemporary jewellery.
Working predominantly in silver combined with semi-precious beads and stones I create jewellery which appears to tell a story or hold a memory. Original photographs and fragments of text are enclosed within silver frames and presented as contemporary but wearable pieces of jewellery which hint at times gone by. The process of photo-etching allows me to transfer photographs onto silver and breathe new life into faded images.
My jewellery collections have been shown in 'The Leith Gallery' Edinburgh and 'Tenderproduct' London and my largest collection to date can be seen at 'The RBSA' in Birmingham. The exhibition is called 'Once Upon a Time..' and runs from July to September 2010.
